How Names Transform Distance Healing:
Experiments to Deepen Your Practice
The Power of Naming in Energy Healing
Have you ever wondered if simply speaking the name of your healee could amplify the healing potential of your remote healing work? My method is not faith-based; it’s observation-based. Instead of relying on belief, I invite you to observe and experience directly what happens during energy healing.
Names hold a unique power in remote healing. They serve as more than just labels; they are carriers of intention, connecting us to the essence of a person, animal, or being. When a name is spoken aloud or simply thought, it resonates in the subtle energetic realms, helping to bridge the gap between the healee and their source. In distance healing, this connection becomes crucial, allowing the dormant healing potential in your healee to emerge from the quantum field.
The following sections will explore several experiments you can conduct to experience how names impact healing. These experiments are designed to help you develop a personal, living relationship using names intentionally rather than simply following my protocols.
Whether it’s speaking the names aloud, using full or partial names, or even incorporating simple rituals, each experiment is an invitation to create a living relationship with the names you work with—one that allows the healing potential to emerge in its own unique way.
Experiments You Can Do
Experimenting with the use of names in healing is something anyone can do, and it can make a real difference in your practice by deepening your understanding of how healing works and enhancing your connection to the healee.
The experiments I’m suggesting will help you observe firsthand how subtle shifts in how you relate to the name of your healing recipient can make a noticeable difference. The very act of approaching these experiments with curiosity will naturally increase your intimacy with the healing process, potentially enhancing the results of your distance healing work.
It may seem like doing an experiment during distance healing could be distracting, but taking an interest in the subtle aspects of your technique helps you deepen your connection to your healing practice, naturally improving it.
Experiment 1: The Breath of Life – Speaking Names Out Loud
Now that we’ve introduced the idea of experimenting with names let’s start by exploring the impact of speaking a name out loud versus keeping it silent.
What is the impact of speaking a name out loud versus silent intention? Have you ever felt the power of a name when it’s spoken aloud? In energy healing, speaking a name is more than just vocalizing a word—it can be literally breathing life into that name, allowing it to resonate with energy and intention. By doing so, we are actively connecting to the essence of the healee, giving form to our healing intention.
Breath has long been understood as a carrier of life force. When we speak a name with intention, we animate it—bringing it into embodied presence. In subtle work, a name functions as a bridge across distance, linking consciousness beyond time and space. For that reason, I often recommend speaking the name aloud.
At the same time, healing is an art, not a rigid formula. Just as an artist favors certain tools without being limited by them, I favor the spoken name without insisting on it. There are moments when silently holding a name in consciousness creates the clearest, most coherent connection. Both approaches can be valid; discernment matters more than method.
I encourage you to experiment with this concept in your own healing work. Remember, this is all about exploring with curiosity—there’s no right or wrong answer, only what works for you and your healee. Notice how speaking a name out loud changes the quality of the connection you feel. Observe whether you sense a shift in the energy or a deepening of the link between you and your healee. These subtle but profound changes can enhance your healing practice’s effectiveness.
Experiment 2: Full Names vs. First Names
Now that you’ve explored the impact of speaking names aloud let’s see how the type of name—whether full or partial—affects the healing experience.
In my free Facebook Live group distance healing sessions, participants often submit their names—sometimes just a first name, sometimes a full name, and occasionally even an alias. I want you to know that all of these options are perfectly acceptable.
What matters is that you feel comfortable with your choice and that you explore how each type of name impacts the healing. Like any art, how you participate will affect the outcome. Using a full name may create a different connection than a first name or an alias. This is part of the experiment—there’s no right or wrong, only what resonates with you and the person you intend to help.
Try submitting a full name one week, then a first name the next, and see if you can feel a difference in the quality of the connection. Remember, this is all about staying curious and noticing what feels right—there is no single correct approach. Does one feel more powerful or focused? Or do they feel the same? This is about noticing what works best for you and your healee and making the process a personal journey.
Experiment 3: Submit Names Yourself vs. Having Someone Else Submit Them
Beyond the type of name, how you submit the name also matters. Let’s explore how submitting names yourself versus delegating it can create different outcomes.
In my free Spirit Gate Cancer Support Facebook Group distance healing sessions, you can submit names by filling out a Google Form or asking a volunteer to do it for you. Both options are perfectly fine, but consider how personally submitting a name might affect the healing experience.
Intentionally placing the names of those you want to heal creates an intimate connection, as if the healing begins as you type the name(s). It becomes an intentional act of care, and submitting names yourself may bring a deeper connection than having someone else do it. On the other hand, the generous act of a volunteer putting your name(s) onto the form may act as a community support that enhances your experience in a different way.
I encourage you to try submitting names both ways: sometimes, do it yourself, and other times have someone else do it for you. Notice if you feel a difference in the level of connection or energy.
You can also experiment with adding a simple ritual when submitting names—light a candle, make a gesture, or do some image cycling. These rituals can make the act of submission feel more intentional and meaningful, keeping your participation fresh and alive. More focused intention isn’t inherently better or worse, but knowing what feels right in the moment is always beneficial.
The key is to find what resonates best with you at the moment. Stay curious, observe how each approach makes you feel, and remember that each session may require something different. Avoid thinking that one way is right or wrong, as it may change from session to session.
Experiment 4: Repeating Names During the Healing Session
Another aspect to consider is whether repeating the names aloud yourself during a session changes the experience compared to just listening. Let’s see how this affects your connection to the healing energy.
In my free Facebook Live group distance healing sessions, I say the names submitted to the Google form out loud. As a participant, you can either just listen or repeat the names aloud. I encourage you to experiment with both approaches to see if speaking the names out loud makes a difference in your experience.
Try repeating the names aloud during one session and just listening during another. Stay open to trying both approaches and let your curiosity guide you in each session. Notice whether you feel a stronger connection, sense more energy, or experience other shifts when you speak the names compared to listening silently. The key is to observe what resonates most with you and enhances your personal connection to the healing energy.
Experiment 5: What to Observe During Healing
Now that you’ve tried different methods of working with names, let’s focus on what to observe during a healing session. Observation is key to understanding the subtle feedback that emerges during healing.
During a healing session, you may sense things in different ways. Observe any physical sensations in your body—such as warmth, tingling, or relaxation. Notice the flow of life force energy, changes in your breathing, or shifts in your emotions—like feeling a sudden wave of sadness, joy, fear, or anger. You might also receive images, colors, or visions in your mind’s eye. Additionally, you may sense spiritual feedback, such as an inspiring thought or insight that comes to you during the session.
Experiment with focusing on these different levels—physical, energetic, emotional, imaginative, and spiritual—and see what emerges. What do you notice when you allow yourself to tune in to these different sensations? Does one type of feedback come through more strongly than others? I often coach my private clients on noticing various things as we do a session together. I often sense things remotely that they also sense, which helps validate the objectivity of their subtle but genuine experiences.
Remember, the key is to stay curious and open to whatever arises during the session. Let your observations guide you in developing a deeper connection with the healing process. There is no “right” sensation—it’s all about observing without judgment and letting the experience guide you in developing a deeper, living relationship with the names you work with.
Your Living Relationship with Names
We’ve explored multiple ways to work with names in healing—speaking them aloud, using full or partial names, submitting them personally, and repeating them during a session. Each variation is an experiment. The purpose is observation.
Names are not merely labels. In distance healing, a name functions as a dynamic connector—a thread linking consciousness to the person you intend to help. When you change how you use a name, notice what shifts in the session. Track clarity, resonance, feedback, and outcomes. Over time, you develop a living relationship with the names you work with.
This practice is not about finding a single “correct” method. It is about disciplined curiosity. Stay flexible. Observe carefully. Let experience guide refinement. That is how distance healing matures into skill rather than belief.
