This is for you if you don’t need the whole show of Suzanne’s Octave Resonance Healing Method™.Simple acupuncture is often all it takes to relieve pain, balance hormones, stop inflammation, ease digestion and help you sleep soundly. See below for a list of things commonly treated successfully with acupuncture.

How is Suzanne Different from other acupuncturists?

  • 35 years clinical experience—she’s seen it all and helped most of it.
  • Strong biomedical background (4 years graduate school for neurophysiology plus all the science of being a Registered Dietitian). Not only can she think clearly about your situation, but she can communicate comfortably with your Medical Doctor and be part of your wellness team.
  • She is a Medical Intuitive and can tell on the spot if a treatment is working or if it needs adjusting.
  • She knows many holistic methods, so if acupuncture is not the best for you, she can steer you to what will work better.
  • Suzanne also uses a computerized AcuGraph Digital Meridian Imaging to analyze and document the energetic status of your acupuncture meridians.

What are acupuncture meridians?

Acupuncture meridians are invisible energy pathways in your body that have been used therapeutically for over 5000 years. These meridians conduct life-force energy, or Qi (pronounced “chee”) in and around all the parts of your body. Blockage or interference in these meridian pathways can result n energetic imbalances that may contribute to negative health conditions. The primary goal of acupuncture treatment is to restore energetic balance and proper energy flow to these meridians, thus allowing your body to function normally and return to health naturally.

How can AcuGraph help me?

The AcuGraph system allows Suzanne to measure and analyze the energy balance of each acupuncture meridian.Combined with her 35+ years as an acupuncturist and her ability to “see” the energy flows in the body, she can make well-informed decisions about your condition and provide the best treatment possible.

What is it like to get acupuncture?

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are extremely successful in the treatment of a multitude of conditions. Many people try Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a “last resort” to serious and complex medical problems and find that it can help them when other treatments could not.
Acupuncture is also often used as a preventative medicine. Many people see Suzanne only 2-4 times a year for a “tune up” or “balancing” treatment. This can prevent disease and promote health, energy and vitality.

Suzanne Clegg will take a thorough history to determine if Oriental Medicine can help you.  Each case is unique and it would be difficult to determine how effective acupuncture will be for you without a full assessment. She also does Chinese Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis as well as the computerized AcuGraph Digital Meridian Imaging system.

You wear loose comfortable clothing as most of the acupuncture points are between the elbows and hands, and the knees and ankles. She has drapes if she needs to get to your torso. Suzanne helps you lay on a comfortable treatment table in a beautiful room. The needles are gently inserted…usually without any pain at all, though she does try to elicit a mild sensation that reassures her that your body is responding to the presence of the very fine needles. Modern needle technology has created super thin and strong needles that really are painless as they don’t cut big holes into the body. In contrast, needles used to inject fluid into the body are much much larger and are designed to create a big opening. Those needles are justifiably dreaded as they can be very uncomfortable! No fluid is injected through acupuncture pins, so they can be extremely fine and gentle.

What if I don’t like needles?

We have many non-needle ways to effectively stimulate acupuncture points: laser, electrical stimulation, press-balls, finger pressure, and soothing tuning forks.
